Orlando area sales figures UP again!
November 14th, 2008 7:57 AM

The number of sales recorded in the Greater Orlando are is up again this month. In the midst of the "doom and gloom" reporting, this has not really been featured by the media. Although the volume of sales includes a lot of foreclosed and bank owned homes, it shows that there is investor and buyer confidence.

Orlando and the surrounding areas have good employment history, and lots of exciting projects and innovative new enterprises.

That's all before you get to the fun side of Orlando!

Don't miss the tremendous opportunities out there right now.

STATE TOURISM UP!
September 3rd, 2008 9:33 AM

Despite national and international economy woes, it seems that people are reluctant to give up their annual vacation or holiday.

VISIT FLORIDA the agency that tracks the numbers of visitors reports that the number of tourists visiting Florida during the second quarter of 2008 was 22 million. This is an increase of 1.2 percent compared to the same period last year.

For the entire year of 2007, there was an increase in visitors by  0.8% from the 2006 calendar year.

So far this year, the early numbers suggest that 46.1 million people have visited the Florida so far this year!! This is a 2.7 percent increase for the first six months of 2008 compared to 2007.

Add the strength of the visitors market to the fantastic property bargains to be had, and it is clear to see it is an incredible time to buy in Florida!

Great Summer for Disney area property owners.
August 28th, 2008 8:00 AM

Disney area rental home owners have reported a fantastic summer so far. The number of rentals they have received is way up. Our management company affiliate regularly asks for new properties, and they are at capacity for many weeks, and have to turn away business!

Perhaps there are a number of reasons for this. Everyone still needs a vacation, and the Disney area has it all! Instead of going to the many four and five star resorts in our area, people are realising that if they stay in a vacation home or villa, that they can still have the holiday they have worked for all year, but at a much lower cost.

Another possible reason is that with the cost of airfares within and from the USA rising, US residents find that Orlando is still within reasonable driving distance. This has had such an impact on local occupancy numbers that the Orlando Tourist information office are opening new locations in the Southern USA, as well as three new UK office. All these things point to good things still to come for Orlando second home owners!

Tropical Storm Fay
August 20th, 2008 7:33 AM
Tropical storm Fay passed through Florida yesterday with very little impact ( if any) on the attractions area. Scattered rain and light occasional winds were the main impact. Disney was open as usual, and the guests in attendence enjoyed shorter lines than ususal!

Coming off the bottom??
June 9th, 2008 6:05 PM

For the third consequtive month the Orlando area Realtor assocoiation has noticed improvements in the property market. The number of properties that sold had risen three months in a row, and the median price has risen in each of the past three months.

Indications perhaps that the bottom has been reached, and people are more confident in the long term "upside" in the property market. Now is the time! Don't be caught on the sidelines wishing that you had jumped in when you had the chance!

Cash is King!
May 23rd, 2008 7:09 AM

Great deals and bargains are everywhere in our local market! We have huge 6 bedroom pool homes for as little as $250,000! These are homes that were originally sold firm the $400,000's.

Sellers, banks and agents all know that getting financing is not as easy as it was. This has created an even better opportunity for those with cash to spend. Sellers are looking more favourably than ever on offers coming in that are cash deals with quick completions. If you have savings that you are looking to invest, or if you want to draw down on your home equity, this market offers opportunities like we have never seen before. Don't miss it!
